You have to respect the honesty though

137、bugs

funny. as a “user” I have been ditching all the closed source programs and replacing them with FOSS. I am always looking for “unfeatured” software. This has made me learn about a bunch of stuff. I do not have a professional computer anything background.

I am always cursing google and microsoft for the bloated, cluttered, useless software and features.

But, with linux/FOSS everything is built for function without any junk to try and look more relevant.

sure would be nice we find a way to get the programmers working directly for the users. I have seen bounties for linux work to be done btw. Might be a model to build on.

There is no better boss than one who gets fired and replaced after each task that also is extremely happy you helped them in a way they could not help themselves.

edit: great example is ditching dropbox for syncthing

When I worked in a tux factory doing final inspection, I wasn’t hitting (nor were 80% of people) the 100 tuxes per hour quota which was completely unrealistic ESPECIALLY on the day I got in trouble because I had to replace all of our logos with Jos. A. Banks so they can pretend they have their own brand and charge a premium. I had a supervisor stand on my 1×1 meter mat with me and “assist” me the entire day to make sure I was hitting quota. Together we did 106 per hour.

106 per hour instead of my 85-90, but that just required an additional person yelling at me all day. I complained to her boss about how much it doesn’t make sense and that it was actually 53 per hour per person and if she helped by just doing some herself we could catch up because I cant go any faster. Apparently I am a smart ass and need to stop making excuses. I was let go. This comic couldn’t be more accurate to my experience.
